Description:  Discovered in 1987 in Peru, Angelite (or Anhydrite Gypsum) is a glacier-blue or lilac-blue colored soft stone with a white center and show-white flecks, with occasional brown or rusty inclusions. The stone is formed from celestite that has been compressed for many millions of years. It has also been found in Britain, Germany, Poland, Libya, Egypt and Mexico. CLEANSING AND CHARGING Be sure to cleanse your Angelite when received, and charge with your own energy and intentions. Use your feather fan to waft over it the smoke of purifying incense. Use sound vibrations from a singing bowl, bells, or tingsha chimes while quickly and carefully passing through the flame of a light blue candle. Place in a (preferably Selenite or Clear Quartz, just not any kind of metal) bowl on top of a bed of dead sea salt and leave soaking in the moonlight for at least four hours. Remove from the bowl, rinse for 30 seconds in (ideally natural, like a stream or in the rain) running water, then gently and thoroughly dry with a cloth (BE CAREFUL with stones that may easily scratch). Hold in your left hand (if wearing for receiving intentions) or right hand (if wearing for emitting intentions) and meditate your intentions and energy onto the stones for half an hour. Alternatively, cleanse by smudging then holding under running water (or leaving out in rainwater) for at least 30 seconds, dry, and gently place in a bed of sea salt on a windowsill after sunset for a few hours. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. Because your gemstones can absorb negative energy, avoid allowing others to touch or handle them and be sure to cleanse regularly. Recharge as needed by placing in the sunlight or moonlight for a few hours, or by burying in the earth for a day or two. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. Angelite is a soft and unstable stone, easily absorbs moisture and can be easily scratched (even just by a fingernail), fractured, or chipped. When immersed into water, it transforms into gypsum. Do not immerse into water, or wear while perspiring, bathing or swimming. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. Do not use heat or steam to clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or sunlight.
