Description: A chocolate-brown gemstone with swirls of gold, Bronzite is sometimes cut and polished for jewelry and small ornamental objects. The sheen has a certain resemblance to cats-eye. Masses sufficiently large for cutting are found in the norite of Kupferberg in the Fichtel Mountains of northeaster Bavaria, Germany; in the serpentine of Kraubat near Leoben in Styria, southeast Austria; and has been found at the Bare Hills copper mines in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. Bronzite is found all over the world and is a beautiful stone with bright golden flecks, but is generally unnoticeable when unpolished. CLEANSING AND CHARGING Be sure to cleanse your Bronzite when received, and charge with your own energy and intentions. Use your feather fan to waft over it the smoke of purifying incense. Use sound vibrations from a singing bowl, bells, or tingsha chimes while quickly and carefully passing through the flame of a Yellow, Brown, Black or Gold candle. Place in a (preferably Selenite or Clear Quartz, just not any kind of metal) bowl on top of a bed of dead sea salt and leave soaking in the moonlight for at least four hours. Remove from the bowl, rinse for 30 seconds in (ideally natural, like a stream or in the rain) running water, then gently dry with a cloth (BE CAREFUL with stones that may easily scratch). Hold in your left hand (if wearing for receiving intentions) or right hand (if wearing for emitting intentions) and meditate your intentions and energy onto the stones for half an hour. Alternatively, cleanse by smudging then holding under running water (or leaving out in rainwater) for at least 30 seconds, dry, and gently place in a bed of sea salt on a windowsill after sunset for a few hours.
