Description: Tiger’s Eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually metamorphic rock with a golden to red-brown color and a silky lustre. As members of the quartz group, Tiger’s Eye gains its silky, lustrous appearance from the parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals and altered amphibole fibers that have mostly turned to limonite. Common sources of Tiger’s Eye include Australia, Burma, India, Namibia, South Africa, United States, Brazil, Canada, China, Korea and Spain. CLEANSING AND CHARGING Be sure to cleanse your Tiger’s Eye when received, and charge with your own energy and intentions. Use your feather fan to waft over it the smoke of purifying incense. Use sound vibrations from a singing bowl, bells, or tingsha chimes while quickly and carefully passing through the flame of an yellow, orange, or gold candle. Place in a (preferably Selenite or Clear Quartz, just not any kind of metal) bowl on top of a bed of dead sea salt and leave soaking in the moonlight for at least four hours. Remove from the bowl, rinse for 30 seconds in (ideally natural, like a stream or in the rain) running water, then gently dry with a cloth (BE CAREFUL with stones that may easily scratch). Hold in your left hand (if wearing for receiving intentions) or right hand (if wearing for emitting intentions) and meditate your intentions and energy onto the stones for half an hour. Alternatively, cleanse by smudging then holding under running water (or leaving out in rainwater) for at least 30 seconds, dry, and gently place in a bed of sea salt on a windowsill after sunset for a few hours.
