DescriptionBlack Sea Turbot is a benthic flatfish that lives in muddy and sandy depths of up to 1,000 m. It is found in the North-East Atlantic, along the European coast to the Arctic Circle, and in most of the Baltic Sea. It is also found in the Mediterranean, as well as in the Black Sea, where the subspecies Psetta maxima maeotica exists. Wonderful and tasty in the oven with potatoes or grilled.
