Ultrasonic and PIR Dual Technology Occupancy Sensor, Commercial Grade, MDC-50V-W, White Enerlites ceiling sensors help bring automation to large spaces. It is a commercial-grade line voltage ceiling mount sensor that operates lights using a combination of passive infrared (PIR) and ultrasonic technologies to provide 360-degree accurate occupancy detection. Open Office Area Coverage To get complete coverage in an open office area, install multiple sensors so that there is an overlap with each adjacent sensor’s coverage area. Where to Install The ceiling sensor is designed to be mounted about 8-10 feet off the ground. The implementation of two sensing technologies in each unit helps to avoid false triggering while still accurately sensing motion. Fresnel Lens The MDC-50V has multi-level, 360° Fresnel lens for superior occupancy detection with 6 detection options for users to trigger the ON function. The sensor can be set to require both PIR and Ultrasonic sensor detection simultaneously or either prioritize detection with either PIR or Ultrasonic sensing motion. Important This ceiling sensor is operated on 24V supplied by Enerlites MPP-24 Power Pack. Mounted on the ceiling of any office or warehouse area, the sensor should be set back from door openings to avoid detecting people passing by, and should stay 4 feet to 6 feet away from air supply ducts to avoid false activation.
