Botany, Cultivation & Harvesting:  Full orange trees grow to 30 feet tall and 30 feet wide, while dwarf orange trees grow to 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide. Orange trees grow in full sun, and in loamy, well-drained, acidic, neutral soil. They are hardy in zones 9-11. The optimal temperature to grow an orange tree is between 60-90°F. Orange trees require constant watering, but do not tolerate soggy soil. They need to be well drained. Established trees require about 1 inch of water a week. They thrive in sub-tropical regions with warm temperatures and moderate humidity levels. Contraindications & Toxicity: Oranges are high in acid, which can worsen symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). If taking beta-blockers, eating too many oranges may increase potassium intake and lead to kidney damage. Oranges may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, headache, and insomnia. If the body stores more than it needs, high doses of vitamin C can lead to a condition called hemochromatosis and can add more iron and damage your tissues. Vitamin C may increase absorption from medicines that contain aluminum, like phosphate binders, and increase estrogen levels if on hormone replacement therapy. Intake of high levels of oranges may lead to weight gain due to extra sugars, which can raise risk of heart disease, especially in middle age.     Sources: https://spiritartsandherbs.com/sources **IMPORTANT INFORMATON: Products are sold as curio items for entertainment purposes only and based upon historical and magical uses.  We do not imply or guarantee that any items provide specific abilities, powers, outcomes, remedies, or treatments.
